About the Designer:
He's an alien who understands the world, who has subverted the rules of design, teaching us that pink can be a dominant color and that plastic is both a noble and democratic material.
His passion is electronic music and, as if on the decks, Karim Rashid simultaneously directs dozens and dozens of projects, with the same unmistakable touch, whether he's designing a soap dispenser, graphics for a credit card or the architecture of a building.
Since a few years his headquarters is in Hell's Kitchen, on the west side of Manhattan, where the naturalized Canadian designer works in a luminous open space connected to his home via an internal garden.
